Stress, Anxiety, and Depression.
UCLV.Cumana.

Stress Relief
Stress is all around us. It’s become normal part of daily life. But over time, its effects can become taxing, both mentally and physically. Stress becomes a problem when you feel overwhelmed by its challenges. And though it may be difficult to define, that doesn’t mean it’s all in your head. Researchers have found that significant biological changes take place in the body during periods of stress. And extended periods of stress can cause destructive changes in the body, such as depression and a suppressed immune system, which can eventually lead to heart disease, cancer, and stroke. So if you are feeling stressed out, its time to get some relief. Learn about stress: how to identify it, and how to find relief.

Anxiety
Some degree of anxiety is perfectly normal. We all experience situations that make us fearful and apprehensious. However, there are some people who feel anxious even when there is no discernible cause. In these cases, the anxiety usually becomes overwhelming and may interfere with day to day functioning. People who regularly have a debilitating level of anxiety are suffering from an anxiety disorder.

Depression
Some people have described depression as a heavy black curtain of despair that envelops their lives. Depression affects your life, and the lives of those around you. It can severely disrupt how you function, eat, sleep, and get along with others. Although most people who suffer from depression feel as though they are suffering alone, roughly 20% of the American population suffers from depression. Depression is a disease, and like any other disease, it can be treated and managed. Read on to learn more about depression and what you can do to get help.

What culture means.

Culture is the integrated pattern of human knowledge, belief, and behavior that depends upon man's capacity for learning and transmitting knowledge to succeeding generations... the customary beliefs, social forms, and material traits of a racial, religious, or social group. Culture means many different things to different people: the clothing, the food, the values, the laws, the beliefs, the music and dance, the material things, the language, the art, the medicine or healing practices, the shared history, the kinship system (whom you consider to be family), the stories, the hairstyles, the economic system, and much more, of a group of people. Families, neighborhoods, ethnic groups (groups of' people from the same part of the world), religious groups, regions, countries, all have their own cultures. Culture is constantly changing as people and places change.

We live on a small planet with many cultures. Sometimes it is difficult to understand someone from another culture because we have not taken the time to listen to what they believe, and because we assume that they should believe what we believe. Learning about other cultures helps us live together and respect each other's ways of life, without misunderstanding or hurting each other.

La frase de Gibran es:
"Si en el crepúsculo de la memoria nos encontráramos una vez más, juntos hablaremos de nuevo y me cantaréis una canción más honda".
